La Camerata du Mont-Blanc

The Camerata du Mont-Blanc, an instrumental ensemble formed in the string octet format, came into being in October 2016. It is made up mainly of musicians from international orchestras such as the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie for 3 of them, the Royal Philharmonic London or the Orchestra of Wales, and former students of the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, who share a passion for music and for our mountains where they live all year round.

Based on the model of the Salzburg Soloists or the Virtuosi of the Berlin Philharmonic, the composition of the group has changed little over 7 musical seasons, but has enlisted the help of associate musicians and soloists. This format makes it possible to tackle chamber music as well as an orchestral repertoire; its repertoire already includes more than 120 works for strings or accompanied soloists.

For this concert, the band will be made up of:

  • Claire Roff, Hugues Tavernier, Sylvie Sieffert-Calentier, Claire Jackson (Violins)
  • Abigail Crofts (Alto)
  • Francesco Bartoletti (Cello)
  • Bernard Perrin (Double bass)
And our guest : Vavara Petrova (Oboe).
