Trio Bohémo

Trio Bohémo was founded in 2019 and consists of Jan Vojtek (piano), Matouš Pěruška (violin) and Kristina Vocetková (cello). Soon after their formation they were awarded 2nd prize at the Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano (Switzerland). Following this success, the trio joined Le Dimore del Quartetto, which awarded them prize Ensemble of the year 2021.

Other notable successes include first prize at the International Filippo Nicosia Award, first prize and audience prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition (Austria) and are recipients of the the International Parkhouse Award (UK). They also won second prize and commission prize at the International Joseph Joachim Competition (GE).

The trio have appeared on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and recent performance highlights include recitals in Wigmore Hall (London), Stoller Hall (Manchester), Solti Hall (Budapest) and appearances at festivals such as Classix Festival (Romania) and Shaldon Festival (UK). In the past season they had their debut recital in Viennese Musikverein and performed at festivals such as Prague Spring Festival (Czech Republic), Schwarzwald Musikfestival (Germany), Lago Maggiore Musica (Italy) or Gent Festival van Vlaanderen (Belgium).

Trio Bohemo were an ensemble for the European Chamber Music Academy (2020-22), under the tutelage of Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt & Avedis Kouyoumdjian. With the generous support of Dr. Jan Telenský, Matouš plays on a Matteo Goffriller violin and Kristina plays on a cello by Fausto Maria Bertucci.
